One of the best attributes of this place is the service. Along with some of the best southern food you'll eat comes some of the best southern hospitality. In this lodge decor you feel at home. The owners and the staff strive to ensure this feeling. They have been consistent in all ways.
Some of the best food you'll find anywhere. The service is always wonderful. Paula and her sister, Wanda are what makes the place so special. They are good people with great values and it shows in the way they treat their customers. If you haven't tried it, then you're in for a real treat when you do!
This place is home cooking at its finest. It is quality southern cuisine. Their menu caters to almost any taste. They have short orders, wraps, burgers and fries etc. They also have made from scratch meals like grandma use to make. Bread options are yeast rolls, cornbread, or fried cornbread. Is hillbillies call these cornmeal flitters. They have daily specials that remind you of Mamas Sunday dinners. They have vegetable options that complete the five star taste. They have two or three daily dinner specials. One of Thursday specials is the turkey and dressing meal. You can get this with all the fixins. It is probably better than most thanksgiving meals you have had. Fridays specials include a couple different fish options. The cod fish is amazing. My 24 year olds favorite is the Philly steak sandwich. She also likes the loaded potatoes. Oh yeah, I forgot to mentions the scrumptious appetizers. They are so good you can make a meal of them. My 19 year old likes the fish options. My three year old orders the salad by herself. They salads are fresh and are served with homemade dressing. The ranch dressing is about the best you will ever have. They also have salad entrees topped with southern fried chicken or grilled chicken.
This is what a family restaurant should be. Great value and real food, not "food service" food.

I challenge you to find better fried green tomatoes anywhere! Plus homemade ranch dressing...mmm!
Excellent food at a good price. Haven't had fried potatoes this good since I left Pine Knot 50 years ago.
You can drop by this food find any day of the week except for Monday's. You can go alone, or with large parties. They will even accomodate parties.
